No, ma perché?

I have to comment the statements by the abominable but not surprising little former italian Minister Mr. Brunetta, which has the largest gap ever recorded between proclamations and failures. Here is his most telling statement: "If we had not Calabria and Naples-Caserta, or better if these areas had the same standards as the rest of the country, Italy would be the first country in Europe."

First, we are pleased that the little minister, after a long search, found a reason to be last in Europe. We needed it, because with the strong commitment and the known ability and integrity of the Berlusconi's government, this could not be explained.
Second, about the "standards of the rest of the country" and, while we're at, the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, bring to mind some historical numbers helps. First let's look at the assets of the
pre-unified states  in 1859:

Yes, the "Savoia" were in rags. Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, had been opened: the first railroad, the first iron bridge in Europe, the first gaslight, the first telegraph, the first steamboat, the first assembly chain, the first volcanological observatory of the world and so on.
When the ingenuous
Garibaldi died in Caprera, he was finally conscious to have been used by the Kingdom of Savoy to carry out a robbery.
It was mere conquest. The Southern people was won, not accepted. The landowners of the south sought protection against Savoy expropriation with the Mafia: the delinquency and capital came together, they gave birth to the organized crime. The "piemontizzazione" was abandoned, the Southern people was abandoned, but not before it was stripped of everything. Amen.

Today in various areas in Naples and Caserta children want to become drug dealers and gangsters, there aren't other models. The state is absent, they say. But the state has ever become the foundation of rules where each "cives" should recognize himself? No, why?
Because 150 years ago the state disappeared with the loot, and nobody has seen it again. After 150 years the attitude of Southerners toward the "Piedmont" is not changed. They had to
defend themselves from the "Piemontesi" and they still have to, otherwise they will take away their souls as well.
It's called "southern question", an invincible leviathan, no longer a challenge for any Italian government (in words, yes, in facts zero).
And, given that it's not possible to solve the problem, let's see what political advantage they may have.

The two Germanys were unified, titanic. At that time everyone wondered how it would be possible, as a huge commitment and financial effort would be needed. The difference is only one: the German government wanted it really, while in Italy since 150 years mafias are convenient to the political class to move votes.

Could it be that from the robbery of 150 years ago, we have now a "northern question" to solve?
